Olly Moss - Master Race Poster

Olly Moss is in the Olympic spirit with this appealing yet insightful design about a big step in the Olympics of 1936.  The man really knows how to say so much, visually, with so little.  It's a very powerful moment from history that I wasn't even aware about, and for that I thank you Mr. Moss not only for your eye candy but also for the history lesson.

Scott Campbell - New Posters and More

 

Love the line patterns on the keyboard

I dont know why, but this poster, although pretty simple, has some real rhythm to it.

 

I love this poster for the geometry and the division by lines, but it needs just a little something else to become WOW.

  

I don't want to love this because I can't read it, but I really do.

  

A very peaceful poster, if I owned a breakfast cafe it'd fit perfectly behind the counter.

This has inspired me to look at more of these antique sound furnishings.

It's like part ticket stub, part book, part 1940's record sleeve...and it fits together all so nicely.

Philippe Archontakis + Departement

 

 

Philippe Archontakis of the Canadian design group Departement is clearly putting out some good poster designs for Montreal.  Taking a look at Departement's blog I also stumbled upon some really fantastic live interactive design for the huge screens at Nine Inch Nails concerts.  Since most people come to Flyergoodness for the gig and show posters, I imagine that most of you appreciate cool light show designs at concerts:

now this is pretty sweet for a flyer...printed on wood???

 

It seems like that shiny silver ink on black is normally difficult to see, but if you're walking around a club at night and there's plenty of light posts, these might look pretty cool outdoors.

 

Not a fan of the color shceme here, but I like how the letters have some choppy depth to them

A pleasing way to display literally TONS of information on a poster

Spanish designer Fernando Suárez Carballo has a passion for making print beautiful.  As you can tell from the first few examples, he's able to manipulate color, texture and typography to present something beautifully simple to your eyes.
