Inked Posters Erik Jonsson

Erik Jonsson is a Swedish graphic designer now working in Brooklyn, New York.  What caught my eye with his portfolio was that in some of his works he has a very organic ink feel, like almost as if he took a paintbrush and dabbed his computer monitor with paint...somehow penetrating the screen through osmosis. Who am I kidding, I don't remember jack from AP Bio in my highschool years.  Either way, he combines colors and graphic shades really well.

Mikey Burton

Featured on the Avant Garage, Philadelphia based and self-taught screen-printer Mikey Burton has done posters for bands such as Wilco, Spoon, and Tapes and Tapes.

He likes animals. More specifically, bears.

North Korean Propaganda Posters

Satirical North Korean posters with messages conveying complete dominance over anyone that stands in the way.

Clearly, some of these go as far as to lash out at the U.S in such a direct fashion that makes looking at these from this side of the world seem distasteful, but the artwork is brilliant with a bold call to action.

The last one translates "The U.S is truly an axis of evil".
