Want to design an official poster for Absolut? Here's a pretty cool chance to design and submit your original poster art for the 2013 ABSOLUT X design contest. They'll choose the 5 best posters that best bring together music, art, and mixology.  The winning designs will become the official posters for the ABSOLUT Vodka events and receive a $1000 prize.

We've seen what you've shown us for our Reader Submission of the Week, and we know that the Flyer Goodness readers have some serious talent and could seriously win this.

UPDATE:
Deadline has been extended to March 7, 2013. If you live ANYWHERE in the United States, you're eligible and should definitely submit something.

Cool AIGA Los Angeles Event Flyers

AIGA LA sometimes has pretty cool flyer designs for their events going on in Los Angeles.  Here's a few that stood out.  We were unable to track down the design credits, but if anyone can give us a tip, we'd appreciate it.

60+ years of German Sailing Posters from Kieler Woche

Kieler Woche, the largest sailing event in the world held in Kiel, Germany, has seen some really great poster  design over the years ever since it first started in 1948.  Every year, a contest is held in designing the official poster for the sailing event, which is pretty cool given that there are only five designers invited each year to participate.  

Loving the variants on the typical triangle, as well as the dynamic color schemes.  The full gallery here.
