R.S.O.W -- Menderes Mertoglu

Keeping the international flavor and putting Istanbul, Turkey based Menderes Mertoglu up as the reader submission of the week with his illustration & flyer design.  In sending in his submission a few months back (yes, we're still playing catch-up with submissions), he wrote us a very simple but honest email saying who he was and that he had been following the blog for a long time, humbly suggesting that we might like his work and to have a nice day.  Genuine and to the point.

Remember to shoot us with what you've got at Flyergoodness@gmail.com

Vintage Turkish Book Covers

I've never seen what book covers look like form Turkey until today.  Interesting illustration style with some odd text placements that I'm not used to seeing in American publishing.  But still some nice examples of book cover art from the country, and I get a kind of science vibe from all of these somehow with the strange anatomy and elemental content.

Star Wars Poster Art by Turkish Designer Cunaka

Cunaka is another online mystery that we haven't been able to figureo ut much about.  He writes in Turkish and is able to design in English, but aside from that we can't tell much else from his DeviantArt other than he's a witty, talented designer.
