RSOW -- Keegan Wenkman

Keegan Wenkman sent us a submission a while back and we've just now unearthed it to show you his poster design style that resembles something like that of a classic/rustic theme.  Keegan Onefoot-Wenkman is a illustrator, printer and designer. He lives and works in Portland, Cascadia.

Classic Japanese Design by Kazumasa-Nagai

 Kazumasa-Nagai was an artist who grew up in Osaka, where he honed his superb illustration talent in creating surreal-like visualizations.  Some of his works were made completely from the computer by the designer, also known as "techno" design which gained popularity in the late 60s-70s.  Really liking the dark shadings with interesting shapes and abnormal stylings.

Swiss Photomontage Design by Herbert Matter

Born in Engelberg, Switzerland, Herbert Matter was a graphic designer and photographer known for his Swiss tourism posters.  He succeeded in utilizing a photomontage effect in his design work, resulting in  nicely layered and textured compositions.  Some impressive identity development above for the New Haven Railroad.

Modernist Swiss Design by Theo Ballmer

Theo Baller (1902-1965) was one of the original pioneers in modernist design, drawing a great deal of influence from Bauhaus design principles and Swiss grid work.  Born in Basel, Switzerland, he trained at the Zurich Kunstegewerbeschule, where he later studied under Ernst Keller.  Baller demonstrates some really eye-pleasing visuals using primary colors, huge sans-serif, and Swiss grid layouts.
