Fantastic 60's Comic Book Styled Illustration by Patrick Leger

I've been completely blown away by the art of Patrick Leger, an extremely skilled illustrator from North Carolina who's work has been circulating online lately.  Putting together this post was difficult because he has so much great work, and its all so good.  He can easily relive the adventure comic books of your childhood in a dark, highly detailed way, but is just as capable of minimal, clean effective illustration.  Check out his blog for more, and check out the awesome prints that he has available online.  I need to buy one, but deciding which one is the hard part.

Animal Collage Design by Able Parris

Able Parris is a hard-working collage artist, designer, and lover of type.  Based in North Carolina, he is also a contributor to welovetypography and fieldmic.com.  His collage design work is something that you don't see everyday, and up until this point I was unaware of how much awesomeness you can put together in one piece while still making it look good.  Able does just that.
