The People's Pennant - Felt Flags by Your Favorite Designers

These are pretty much the coolest pennants (or at least the most awesome-designed ones) I've ever laid my eyes on.  And sure, like many of our readers, I've had a few felt flags years ago from amusement parks and circuses. But these pennants take this to a whole different level -- hand-screenprinted gorgeous designs by the likes of Richard Perez aka Skinny Ships, Mikey Burton, Heads of State and Ken Barber.  And they do a new one every month with a different designer.  Pick one up from the site, as they are each printed in limited editions.

Also thanks for this story tipoff to our friend and colleague Matt Yerman, half of Made Service design studio.

Hand-Painted Signs & Lettering by Dusty Signs (Minneapolis)

Dan Madsen aka Dusty Signs is a traditional sign painter who does his work with a brush and his hands.  It is rare these days to come across someone who possesses such a great skill, designing a wide style range of letters all without the use of digital technology.  Check out his Flickr for more.

Based out of Orlando, Florida, Lure Design Inc., is a creative outfit with a wide breadth of poster and print design styles.  From cult classic film screenings in theaters to stand up comedy acts to pop acts and indie bands, Lure Design really knows how to design well for whatever client or audience might be in mind.  Whether it be tight-knit typography or a dirty, grungier look, they can hit the nail on the head for either style.  Check out their huge selection of hand-pulled screen prints on their online poster store -- they have a ton of different designs still available at super reasonable price ranges. Their blog is worth checking out for more, as well as their cards and journals at L2 Design Collective.
