Typeface Design by Emigre

Emigre is a digital type foundry, publisher, and distributor based in Berkeley  CA founded in 1984 by husband and wife Rudy VanderLans and Zuzana Licko.  Emigre became the first contemporary type foundry to sell original fonts created by computers by designing fonts using low resolution outputs to create new typefaces that capitalized on bitmap design, dot matrix printing, and vector-based graphics in addition to the licensing of hundreds of type faces.  Their Filosofia font particularly stands out among the rest to me.

A title/short-text font influenced by 20th century geometry artistic movements and the work of Dutch designer Max Kisman created by Uruguay born and Geneva, Switzerland based Fermin Guerrero.
