RSOW -- Peter-John de Villiers

Peter-John de Villiers is a graphic designer from Oslo, Norway who sent us some of his work for this week's Reader Submission Of the Week.  His work is rooted in traditional mediums and he founded The Shallowtree are & design studio.  His psychedelic deer print is also really way cool.

Keep sending us links to your work to be featured at Flyergoodness@gmail.com!

Hot Right Now Posters from Michel Diniz de Carvalho

Michel Diniz de Carvalho is a Brazilian graphic designer currently in Norway, where he has put together some rather impressive graphics that possess the fine balance between clean and detailed.  Really liking his faux/aged paper effects, in addition to some of his abstractness.

Super Detailed Film Festival Posters by Halvor Bodin

NOTE:  to fully see the detail Halvor designs into his posters, you MUST click on the thumbnails to see the full sized images, or scroll to the bottom.

Ever see posters cut into steel sheets?  Now thats a rugged poster.

Steel-cut typographic goodness.

Love how the lined effect on the lettering looks in metal.

You must click to zoom in order to truly appreciate the level of detail Oslo's Halvor Bodin invests into his intricate poster designs.  Some drawn by hand, some painstakingly vectored, and yet other designs carved into sheets of steel.  But the end result is more or less the style of this unique designer from Norway.

Robin Snasen Rengård

Oslo-based Snasen has a very clean attention to detail, as apparent in these wonderful pieces.  I love it when typography and texture starts blending together in such a way where it's difficult to distinguish the different elements going on.
