Carl DeTorres is a graphic designer from Oakland, CA who's done some really amazing work for Wired magazine and IBM. He produces simple and pleasing design--which as we all know can be harder to make than it would seem. Similar to the way a good logo is perceived with an under-appreciation of all of the work that had to be put in to create the logo, it's really a shame that good design goes without the credit it deserves these days. Carl's work exemplifies good design in making it easy and engaging for the viewer to look at.
