Nicolau Fernandes

Nicolau Fernandes from Maia, Portugal does graphic design, and he also does music. Music that strangely reminds me of the soundtrack for aladdin for snes. His paint styling comes out pretty cool, which isn't too common with digital& illustration means of making flyers these days.

Plus, his "Human Dog" flyers that he did for a series of exhibitions for painter Sofia Torres, who I'm not sure if she claims credit for these or not--either way dogs rule. Check out the dogs that belong to yours truly, the newly united trifecta.

Also some nice identity work by Nicolau--

MARIN DSGN

So, you think you can dance-- more like so you think you can design. And he does, and he does it well. Quim Marin from Barcelona puts up some terrific use of gradients and color contrasts in a simplistic way. He's good, and is this not the greatest circle ever--

Justin Russo

Justin David Russo from chi-town doesn't mess around, and he has two sole passions in life--video games and graphic design. His video game inspired posters are crafted deftly (and allegedly in his head overnight), using iconic design points in resembling famous video game characters. He didn't expect his posters to attract so much attention, and ended up getting some of them printed by popular demand.

Last month he just put out this poster in raising money for the Ablegamers Foundation public charity organization "so that all people, regardless of disability, can enjoy the world of gaming"
Thats a worthy cause, and a worthy poster to go with it. 100% of the proceeds go to the cause, and can be bought here. Follow @theroostarr.

Matt Needle - Reader Submission of the Week

As the art director and powerhouse of Needle Design and Illustration based in Cardiff, UK, Matt Needle conveys an abstract styling in graphic design that comes out sharper than a sewing needle. A prime example of a designer making his way up to the top of the food chain-- he started out freelancing, got his degree, and opened up his own shop. Some of his movie posters thats he's done--

He's got a heck of a client list, and his tiger piece is just outrageously awesome.
