Tribal Star Wars Masks by Daniel Newman

Not the Star Wars characters you're used to, but amazing art and a unique look for the gang. True, there is a lot of fan art for Star Wars out there, but in a way its really cool to see people reproducing content from the movies years after they've cooled off with their own design spin on things.  Fan art doesn't just keep Star Wars as a brand alive, but it provides for new appreciation for Star Wars characters that we all love.  I can say that I've had a TON of toys and played a good number of Star Wars video games because I love the franchise that much.

Daniel Newman does a fine job with his self-proclaimed "Quakerwars" set in detailing the heck out of some of these characters.  Tribal and raw.  George Lucas, please consider using Daniel's version of Darth Vader for your next film.

Stylish Tesselation by Henk Wyniger

Tesselation: The tiling/patterning of plane figures with no overlaps or gaps.

Henk Wyniger is a designer from Dusseldorf, Germany with a knack for tessellating things in such a way that makes it look like you're looking at an illusion adorned with nostalgic children's story characters.  Some of his pieces seem almost like cartoons in illustrating a tale of some sort.  Perfect symmetry, vivid colors, and the best part--animals.

Monday Music Goodness

Erik and I agreed this is the best remix we've come across from Doom's highly remixed catalogue. The original goes hard and gritty, but this remix dropped by Santa Barbra producer Equalibrium is a smooth, polished, and funked out ride.

The first sixteen bars of this track hooked me quick. I did not expect to find out it was a Mad Descent release based on all the moombahton and super high bpm joints that have been flying off Diplo's label. Good to know they're keeping it electic. If impressive production coupled with addictive chilled out synths and metronomous claps sounds good to you, then you should give this a listen.

For some extra 4th of July fun, check out this thirty eight minute pos-vibe rollercoaster of a mixtape from producer Evan Awake:
