Just picked up a book on Chinese patterns and thought I'd share the contents of the book in two parts. Tons of great floral patterns and old school Chinese designs here that you don't come across everyday.

Ikat Textile Patterns
Ikat is the dyeing technique used to pattern textiles using a resist dyeing process similar to tie-dyeing where bindings are used to create intricate fabrics. Ikat is an Indonesian word meaning cord, thread, knot, or to tie/bind, and has been established as a universal weaving style among different cultures including South American and South East Asian countries. It's definitely a cool thing seeing Ikat patterns on household items and in fashion these days.
