Born in Engelberg, Switzerland, Herbert Matter was a graphic designer and photographer known for his Swiss tourism posters. He succeeded in utilizing a photomontage effect in his design work, resulting in nicely layered and textured compositions. Some impressive identity development above for the New Haven Railroad.
Interesting post, but why did he get the credit for the famous "Red wedge" by El Lissitzky?
