A. M. Cassandre was a painter and graphic designer of Ukranian-French background that really help put
cubism on the design map during the early 1900s. He started his own ad agency, Alliance Graphique (note: cool name), where he and his partners produced some great work, in addition to some solid
typefaces as well. Finding his pieces to be really likable for the layout compositions and typework. Very old school-new school-esque.
