Taken from the immensely comprehensive poster collection from The American Legion, these war posters served as constant reminders and sources of motivation in enduring adversity and independence during the early and mid 1900s. The illustrators and artists that made these kept in mind that they were appealing to the average American citizen and that they needed to create real conviction and a call to action through strictly visuals.
Very, very admirable work. Definitely able to see a commonality among most of these having big, blocky lettering, attention grabbing visuals/graphics, and a whole lot of red white and blue.
